In this exclusive internal interview, we sit down with Dagmar Cvrčková, Head of Strategic Partnerships at SYNOT Games, to explore her remarkable journey in the iGaming industry. Could you describe your journey to becoming Head of Strategic Partnership at SYNOT Games?  

My gaming journey began in Northern Moravia, Czech Republic, working for a company that operated gaming halls and casinos.   

When the family moved near the Pálava hills, I joined a gaming company based in Brno. This was around the time online gaming was starting to rise in the Czech Republic, and I became part of a new project focused on developing online games. I’m still grateful for all the experiences I got by being involved in the early stages of that start-up, with all its successes, challenges and mistakes.  

Almost 5 years ago, my path crossed with SYNOT Games, which was rapidly expanding. I joined the Sales team, and it’s now been almost 20 years since I’ve been navigating the world of gaming.  

  

How do you stay ahead of market trends to ensure SYNOT Games remains competitive?  

  
I´m in touch with leading operators, aggregators, and platform providers, ensuring our games are widely available and integrated seamlessly and attend major industry events like ICE, iGB Live, and SiGMA helps us stay connected and ahead of industry shifts. We must analyze player behavior, preferences, and trends across different regions, invest in new mechanics, gamification elements, and immersive themes to keep our content fresh and engaging and actively pursue new licenses and certifications, allowing us to enter newly regulated markets ahead of competitors.  

  

What challenges do you foresee for the gaming industry in the coming years, and how is SYNOT Games preparing for them?  

Challenges await us in all areas of our industry are Increasing regulation and compliance complexity when markets worldwide are introducing stricter compliance measures and frequently updating legal frameworks. We stay ahead by monitoring regulatory changes and actively collaborating with regulators. Then we have technological advancements because players expect more immersive experiences, seamless mobile gameplay, an innovative mechanics, and expansion into new markets, where the significant challenge is to cover the product preferences of players in individual markets – after all, we already supply to almost 50 markets. Each market differs from the other and it changes over time. And delivering a product that players would prefer in the long term in that market is the dream goal of every supplier.  

The biggest challenge for us is market saturation and competition as the iGaming industry is becoming increasingly competitive, with more providers entering the market and offering a wide range of innovative products and operators seeking exclusive, high-quality content. Here we need to be flexible and focus on innovation and differentiation, developing unique game mechanics, engaging features, and localized content that resonate with different player demographics.  

  

What advice would you give to someone aspiring to work in strategic partnerships within the gaming sector?  

Understand the industry, stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes. Build and cultivate strong relationships. Know your audience, when you’re working with operators and business partners, tailor your approach to their needs and goals.  Be solution-oriented – challenges such as compliance, market restrictions, or commercial negotiations will arise. A problem-solving mindset will set you apart. Be adaptable and stay passionate and proactive!  

  

How do you like to unwind and recharge after a busy day at work?  

I love spending my time outdoors, whether it’s engaging in sports with my kids, training children in a ping-pong club, going on trips, or enjoying motorcycle rides. After a knee injury forced me to cut back on some activities, I discovered a passion for Nordic walking. Wandering through the breathtaking natural landscapes not only keeps me physically active but also offers a wonderful mental escape. Even working in the family vineyard helps me maintain my peace of mind. Few things during the day compared to watching the sunrise over the vineyards – a truly magical way to start the day!
